AMATEURS
The tournament takes place in between separate men and women basketball teams, with participants that have been born in the year 2007 or earlier. Players born after 2007 may participate in the tournament with the individual permission of the tournament organizers.
It is forbidden to participate in the tournament for the players that in the season 2025/2026 have been in the roster of any team countries top level league as well as of Optibet Latvian – Estonian Basketball league, Optibet Latvian Basketball League and Women’s Baltic Basketball league.
The team includes up to 12 players and 2 coaches.
Each team’s management or coaching staff is responsible for the health of the respective team
- The system of the tournament is established by the panel of judges, after the receipt of Registration form, based on the amount of teams in each age group.
- Tournament games are played under standard FIBA rules with tournament rule adjustments.
- The game time in the preliminary games is 4 x 8min, and finals for 1st and 3rd place 4 x 10 min.
- The coach of the team must fill out the protocol of respective game at least 15min before the start of the game.
- Teams must bring their own basketballs for pre-game warm-ups.
- Men’s group play with basketballs of 7th size and standard regulation baskets, women’s teams play with 6th size basketballs and standard regulation baskets.
- Each team has 2 time-outs in the first half, and 3 time-outs in the second half of the game
- If the score is tied at the end of playing time in the fourth period, the game shall continue with as many extra periods of two (2) minutes as is necessary to break the tie.
- If a player gets disqualified during the game, he is not allowed to play in the next game of the tournament or has to pay a fine of 25 EUR. If the team has no games left in the tournament, a fine of 25 EUR shall be applied.
- Player, coach and/or team will receive a 15 EUR fine, for each Technical foul in any game situation.
- Each team’s head coach or another member of the team needs to arrive in the tournament’s office not later than the first day, to register the team in the tournament.
- The finals take place on August 16th, 2026 and are played until 20:30.
VETERANS
The tournament takes place in between separate men and women basketball teams. The tournament has 3 age groups for men and 3 age groups for women:
Age group “40+” (players born in 1986 and earlier)
Age group “50+” (players born in 1976 and earlier)
Age group “60+” (players born in 1966 and earlier)
The team includes maximums up to 12 players and 2 coaches. The minimum amount of players is 7.
Each team’s management or coaching staff is responsible for the health of the respective team.
- The system of the tournament is established by the panel of judges, after the receipt of Registration form, based on the amount of teams in each age group. Each team is given at least 4 games in the tournament.
- Tournament games are played under standard FIBA rules with tournament rule adjustments.
- The game time in all games is 2 x 15 min. Game clock shall be stopped only in the last 2 minutes of the game and during time-outs.
- The coach of the team must fill out the protocol of respective game at least 15min before the start of the game.
- Teams must bring their own basketballs for pre-game warm-ups.
- Men’s group play with basketballs of 7th size and standard regulation baskets, women’s teams play with 6th size basketballs and standard regulation baskets.
- Each team has 2 time-outs in the first half, and 3 time-outs in the second half of the game
- If the score is tied at the end of playing time in the fourth period, the game shall continue with a 2-minute overtime. If the game is tied after overtime, each team will take 1 minute of free throws to determine the winner.
- If a player gets disqualified during the game, he is not allowed to play in the next game of the tournament or has to pay a fine of 25 EUR.
- Player, coach and/or team will receive a 15 EUR fine, for each Technical foul in any game situation.

RANKING SYSTEM
For each win team receives 2 points, each loss 1 point in the schedule. If a team does not show up on the scheduled game, technical loss 0:20 and 0 points in the group results shall be applied. If two or more teams have achieved the same amount of points, higher place is determined by:
• According to both team game result;
• According to win amount between both teams;
• According to made and lost points in between teams who have the same amount of points.
• According to the made and lost points in the group.
